Franziska Bork Petersen’s research areas include dance and choreography, body modification and dress. She holds a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from Stockholm University and Freie Universität Berlin (co-tutelle). Her latest monograph, Body Utopianism: Prosthetic Being Between Enhancement and Estrangement, is forthcoming with Palgrave in 2022. Other work has appeared in Performance Research, Peripeti and Nordic Theatre Studies.
Franziska has researched and taught at the Performance/Theatre Studies departments at the University of Copenhagen, Stockholm University, Roskilde University, Freie Universität Berlin and Heinrich-Heine Universität Düsseldorf. She also works with students in the dance educations at the Danish National School of Performing Arts and previously the University of the Arts Stockholm.
