Francesca Di Fazio

Francesca Di Fazio is a theatre scholar, dramaturge, and playwright. She is currently a lecturer and researcher (ATER) at Université Côte d’Azur, Nice. She previously worked as a research fellow and adjunct professor in Theatre History at the University of Bologna, and as a visiting lecturer at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris 3 and Université de Strasbourg.
In 2022, she earned her PhD from Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3, in co-tutorship with the University of Bologna Alma Mater Studiorum, with a dissertation entitled La marionnette et son drame. Les dramaturgies pour le théâtre de marionnettes contemporain en France et en Italie (1981–2020), published by Presses Universitaires de la Méditerranée (PULM) in 2025. In 2019, she obtained the qualification of International Dramaturg from the Iolanda Gazzerro Theatre School of ERT Emilia-Romagna Teatro. Her artistic projects have been developed and presented in Italy.
