EASTAP statement of support to NamePlaceFund

EASTAP wishes to draw attention to and state its support for the NamePlaceFund campaign: reacting against threats to the arts and humanities whose very existence is undermined as budgets across Europe increasingly focus on military defense expenditure, the NamePlaceFund campaign is aimed at advocating the importance of the arts and humanities within European funding.

As suggested by NamePlaceFund: ‘with negotiations on the next EU budget ongoing between the EU institutions, now is the time for urgent action to make the case for culture and artistic research in the next budget’.
