Dr Leonie Otto is a research assistant at the institute for theatre, film and media studies at Goethe Universität in Frankfurt. She is a student-coordinator for one of the two Dramaturgy master programmes of the Hessian Theatre Academy. In 2020, her philosophical as well as production-related dissertation “Denken im Tanz” was published. Her current research focuses on sociology of the body, materialist feminism and digital transformation. Leonie Otto has worked as a dramaturge in the independent scene, especially with performance and sound artist Marialena Marouda and director and choreographer Laurent Chétouane. She is regularly working as a freelancer for PACT Zollverein in Essen, Germany, has been a member of the jury of the Tanzplattform in Germany 2018 and is currently a member of the Theaterbeirat of the city of Frankfurt.
